School Notes for February 28th ~ In Sunday School
today, the children will learn that as Jesus healed the ten men with leprosy,
Jesus forgives and heals us from the sickness of sin and death (Luke
17:11–19). Discuss with your children how in faith we respond with thankful
hearts, praising Him for His love for us. Talk about what it means to be
healed of our sin-sickness. How do we thank God for His grace? As a family,
consider the words of the Second Article of the Apostles’ Creed. Lenten Service Project ~ During Lent, our children's
Sunday School classes will be collecting money with the goal of buying a
sheep, through the ELCA Good
Gifts program, to help a family living in poverty. The
children will be able to deposit their money in a special container each week
and will be given weekly updates. Any spare change is welcome! |
